Coldplay are seemingly working on two new studio albums.
The band released their previous album 'A Head Full of Dreams' in 2015, and followed this with a colossal world tour.
Since then new material has been thin on the ground, but it seems that for fans the wait is almost over.
The Daily Star reports an insider who claims that Coldplay are working on not one but two new full length projects.
One will be experimental, claims the source, while the following record will be more in line with their stadium-filling anthems.
The source said: “The first album is the more experimental side of Coldplay, they probably won’t tour until 2020 when the next one arrives…”
Coldplay associate Mat Whitecross spoke to NME about the band's next steps earlier this year, commenting:
"They always want to be challenging themselves and surprising other people – that’s why they work with people like Brian Eno. In that sense, I’m sure whatever they do next will surprise people…"
