Reports: Chief Keef’s Cousin, Blood Money, Shot Dead

Just two weeks after signing a major label deal...

Chief Keef's rise has placed renewed emphasis on Chicago's hip hop scene.

The rapper is a powerbroker, with his influence able to push people into the limelight. Blood Money – also known as Big Glo – appeared on Chief Keef's track 'Fuck Rehab' earlier this year.

Snapped up by Interscope, Blood Money signed a major label deal just two weeks ago. Now, if reports are accurate, the rising hip hop star has been shot dead in Chicago. (via FACT)

The Chicago Sun Times broke the news, claiming that Blood Money – real name Mario Hess – was shot in the 5600 block of South Elizabeth before dying in hospital.

"This was his dream and he finally got his foot in the door,”" explained manager Renaldo Hess said. "But that’s how it goes in Chicago. He really wanted to get off the streets."

Continuing, the manager argued that Blood Money's sudden rise may have counted against him. "I just spoke to him two days ago and I could sense something wasn’t right," Hess said. "Whenever you get money people in Chicago start looking. They don’t have money and he was flashing $8,000. Other people looking to stick him up."

Chief Keef has been posting photos of Blood Money on Instagram. More on this as it comes in.
