Remember Remember Prepare New EP

'RR Scorpii' due on November 1st

Glasgow based electronic group Remember Remember are set to release their new EP ‘RR Scorpii’ on November 1st.

Led by Graeme Ronald, Remember Remember began life making lo-fi sound tapestries. Using exotic loops, the producer would build songs from found sound such as lighting matches and rustling paper.

The unusual instrumentation attracted attention, with Remember Remember becoming a fully fledged group. Borrowing members of Errors and more the electronic group released their debut album in 2008.

A stunning piece of work, it closed the first chapter on the band’s career. Remember Remember have played sporadic live shows since then, with the Glasgow group working on new material.

Stretching to seven people, Remember Remember’s collective approach means that their music is given space to evolve. Live, the band’s delicate soundscapes are continually accepted and denying new influences.

Signed to Rock Action, the group have confirmed the release of their new EP. ‘RR Scorpii’ picks up where the debut album left off, but takes Remember Remember into some unexpected new directions.

Due for release on November 1st, ‘RR Scorpii’ contains four tracks recorded at Glasgow’s Green Door studios. In addition to their collage styled electronica, the band have borrowed from psychedelica and the instrumental landscapes of 70s rock.

Containing some typically intricate compositions, Remember Remember seem to have developed renewed confidence. The Glasgow based seven piece move from relatively lush soundscapes to the brittle guitar instrumental ‘Aria’ unveiling a number of new influences.
