Red Hot Chili Peppers have been forced to postpone their Glasgow show.
The West Coast band touched down on UK soil last month, playing a string of sensational stadium dates. Two packed out nights in London followed, with Red Hot Chili Peppers then pointed themselves towards Glasgow’s historic Hampden Stadium, the home of Scottish football.
Due to take place tonight – July 1st – the sold out date was a key part of their European tour. Sadly, illness means that Red Hot Chili Peppers won’t be able to perform, and are aiming to re-arrange the show.
In a statement the band apologised, saying they “love Scotland” and “are deeply disappointed” not to be able to play.
An update on tickets, and a potential re-scheduled show, is expected soon.
Check out the statement below.
