Red Hot Chili Peppers Are Playing The Pyramids

And it will be live streamed online...

Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to play a special show at Egypt's pyramids this week.

The show will take place just outside Giza with the band performing in the shadow of the ancient monuments.

It's a remarkable opportunity, with Red Hot Chili Peppers set to live stream the entire performance online.

Kicking off at 6pm GMT on March 15th, the set will traverse the band's lengthy catalogue. Bassist Flea said in a statement:

“Before each new place my body tingled with excitement, a yearning for a new mystery to unfold, a fascination with a new culture, the possibility of new friends, tasting new food, smelling new tastes, absorbing new rhythms.”

“Learning. Learning. Learning. It is happening again right now, my heart is abuzz with joy at the prospect of performing in Egypt. I’m so grateful and humbled for the impending experience.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers will play Egypt's Pyramids of Giza on March 15th.
