Real Lies have shared their powerful new song 'The Checks' - tune in now.
The group released their debut album 'Real Life' back in 2015, a release that seemed to pin-point that moment between 'too late' and 'too early'.
Live dates followed, with Real Lies taking a short break before heading back into the studio.
New song 'The Checks' is online now and it's a gritty riposte to their debut, the hard-edged sound removing much of the pilled up innocence of their earlier work.
The crumpled up keyboard sample brings that rave feeling, while the muttered vocals add an ominous edge.
Natalia Stuyk shot the video, with Real Lies commenting:
"'The Checks' is a list of questions arriving in a mind that knows it should be leaving. It was written on the streets of London on a hot summer’s night that was as lonely as it was euphoric."
Tune in now.
