Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows has announced a unique sacrifice for charity – he’s auctioning his beloved drumkit.
Burrows recorded his parts for the band’s hugely successful debut album on the kit, which will now be sold to raise funds for the Naomi House “Jack’s Place” appeal. The drummer’s soon to be released solo album will also be raising money for this charity.
The one of a kind kit is a vintage, Ludwig, green sparkle kit that is gorgeous enough to make drummers drool at twenty paces. Auctioned on internet bidding site eBay, the kit will go to the highest bidder with the money going straight to charity.
The kit will make its final appearance with Burrows on May 28th, when the drummer unveils his solo LP at London’s Union Chapel venue. The album will be called “The Colour Of My Dreams” and is released on May 26th. For the gig, Burrows will be joined by a host of musician chums, with The Boy Least Likely To and Guillemots’ Fyfe Dangerfield. With some special guests planned, this looks to be a unique occasion.
Andy Burrows is set to play the following solo date:
