"What's up with all the girl hate girl shit...?"

Pop powerhouse RAYE calls out the snakes on new single 'Friends'.

It's set to be a hot hot summer for the pop riser, with hits such as 'Decline' and 'Cigarettes' notching up more than 20 million streams on Spotify.

With her Jax Jones collab remaining a Radio 1 staple, RAYE's only competition is with herself - and she's ready to surge into new grounds.

'Friends' finds RAYE working alongside production team Mark Ralph and Kyle Shearer, while Fred Gibson also assisted in the studio.

It's a spicy tropical pop number, with those biting strings underpinning a seismic vocal from RAYE, calling out the snakes and asking for girl solidarity.

At one point she sings: "What's up with all the girl hate girl shit...?"
