US group Weezer are in shock after an unreleased song of their’s – titled “Turnin’ Turnin'” – was leaked online, it has been reported.
A spokesperson for the group confirmed that the song was indeed by Weezer, although they admit they have no idea where the leak may have originated. Funnily enough, the group have a new self-titled album out on Geffen. The third LP by the band to be named simply “Weezer”, it has quickly become known by fans as “The Red Album” due to it’s distinctive sleeve.
Weezer recently returned from self-imposed hiatus after frontman Rivers Cuomo decided to complete his education at Harvard. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa, proving that he is indeed a geek at heart.
