Rage Against The Machine – The Book

New Biography Of US Group Due

Revolutionary US rockers Rage Against The Machine are set to be the subject of a new biography, when “Rage Against The Machine: Street Fighters” is released on September 4th.

The story of the band is one of the most memorable in recent US underground history. Rage Against The Machine emerged from the post-hardcore scene, intent on fusing together punk, metal and hip hop to spread their message of social reform.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 1992 and flung the band into the global spotlight, becoming loved and loathed in equal measures. Three albums followed, before the departure of frontman Zach De La Rocha in 2000 led to their collapse. The band, however, remained legends and their reformation in 2007 was greeted by near hysteria by fans.

The new book, published by the ever reliable Independent Music Press, was written by Paul Stenning and is strictly unofficial and unauthorised.

“Rage Against The Machine: Stage Fighters” is set to be released on September 4th.
