The band share a potent message...

Rage Against The Machine completed their live comeback over the weekend.

The band have confirmed a run of North American shows, representing their first live dates in over a decade. The original four-piece line up have been preparing for the dates, which opened with a set at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin over the weekend.

The first Rage Against The Machine live performance in 11 years, the group dived into their catalogue, while also covering Bruce Springsteen.

As per video of the event, Rage Against The Machine performed against a video backdrop, which included some pointed political sloganeering.

The band intend to donate a half million dollars in receipts from their tour to pro-choice organisations, moved to act in the aftermath of the Supreme Court overturning the Roe vs Wade verdict.

“Forced birth in a country that is the only wealthy country in the world without any guaranteed paid parental leave at the national level,” the message began. “Forced birth in a country where Black birth-givers experience maternal mortality two to three times higher than that of white birth-givers. Forced birth in a country where gun violence is the number one cause of death among children and teenagers. Abort the Supreme Court.”
