Radiohead have entered another busy spell, playing Saturday Night Live and preparing their remix album for release.
Radiohead like to keep busy. The Oxford giants could easily sit back on their luxurious settees, but instead the group are continuing to challenge themselves, continuing to push back the boundaries of what a guitar group can do.
American television institution Saturday Night Live once hosted a memorable appearance from the group – fresh from ‘Kid A’ the 2000 show left the watching audience confused and bewildered by what they had just seen.
Returning to the show, Radiohead were chosen to open the 37th season and responded with typically inventive performance. Playing ‘Lotus Flower’ and ‘Staircase’ the group are on furious form.

Elsewhere, Thom Yorke has revealed that Radiohead could be set to go on tour in 2012. Speaking to Gilles Peterson on Radio 1, the singer said: “The idea is to go out and play next year on and off during the year.”
Currently preparing to release an album under the Atoms Of Peace banner, Thom Yorke has also spoken about the upcoming Radiohead remix album. ‘TKOL RMX 1234567’ is set to be released on October 10th and the frontman had the following to say about the project:

The remix 12′ s came out of us wanting to experiment with the tunes further.
I was really curious to see how the people I was listening to so much would use what we gave them. I didn’t just want floor fillers and all that shit, I just wanted to see how the songs could really branch out and mutate.
I love that there is such a culture of remixing at the moment, all this flow of ideas. It may come outta the club scene but to me there is a lot more to it than that.
I think it appeals to us as a band at the moment that ideas and versions are not so fixed and set in stone, it feels kind of healthy for music.
