Groundbreaking British musicians Radiohead have confirmed details of their new release – but it won’t be an EP.
Radiohead remain one of the best loved, and most relevant groups of their generation. Where others have split or long since lurched into obscurity Radiohead have continually challenged themselves retain their place as one of the most profound groups around.
The band’s last album ‘In Rainbows’ redefined the way music was consumed, inviting fans to pay what they liked. Racing to the top of the charts in both Britain and the United States it has become their most most successful release for a decade.
Bagging a Grammy award in the process, the band’s reputation as being a maverick talent is virtually unparalleled. Fans waiting in anticipation of new material were stunned recently when Radiohead released a new track as a tribute to the passing of Britain’s last surviving veteran of The First World War.
Almost immediately after this, a track leaked onto a fan site purporting to come from the band’s new recording sessions. Rumours immediately emerged claiming that the band are working on a new EP, but in a blog posting guitarist Jonny Greenwood has denied this.
The Radiohead guitarist claims that the new song ‘These Are My Twisted Words’ will be a one off release, with work on the album ongoing.
“So here’s a new song, called ‘These Are My Twisted Words’.”
“We’ve been recording for a while, and this was one of the first we finished.
We’re pretty proud of it.”
“There’s other stuff in various states of completion, but this is one we’ve been practicing, and which we’ll probably play at this summer’s concerts. Hope you like it.”

Radiohead are due to headline Reading and Leeds on August 28th – 30th.
