Rachel Chinouriri Shares Viral Single ‘Maybe I’m Lonely’ In Full

It's finally here...

Rachel Chinouriri has finally shared her viral single ‘Maybe I’m Lonely’ in full.

The UK songwriter teased the track by placing a snippet from the original demo online over the festive season. A treat for fans, she posted it on Christmas Eve and quickly amassed more than one million views with fans begging to hear the full thing.

Well, it’s finally here…

Out now, ‘Maybe I’m Lonely’ is enchanting, the opening guitar chords backed by Rachel’s sublime vocal. An intimate recording, not much has changed from the initial demo – she retains the initial magic, while also building outwards.

A song that deals with doubt, and attempting to work out your own motivation, ‘Maybe I’m Lonely’ finds Rachel Chinouriri at a crossroads. She comments…

“I wrote this from the perspective of not knowing what I want. When you are in a long term relationship and know nothing else, it’s hard navigating the dating world. It’s about how I don’t want a relationship but struggle to not attach feelings to more casual situations.

Do I like you or do I like the idea of you? Am I crushing on you or do I enjoy having companionship? Do I actually like you or do I fear being alone? I hope other people know the feeling because I have struggled with it recently but I’m getting better”.

Tune in now.

Rachel Chinouriri will play London’s Hoxton Hall on May 9th – 12th.
