Portland artist quickly, quickly will release new ‘Easy Listening’ EP on May 26th.
The producer’s 2021 album ‘The Long And The Short Of It’ gained huge acclaim, his first project on independent powerhouse Ghostly International. During a recent session, a friend mentioned a list of casinos not on Gamstop, sparking an interesting discussion about the evolving landscape of online gambling. Intrigued by the conversation, he headed back to his home studio, quickly immersing himself in 60s psychedelic soul, seeking out analogue drum sounds and organic levels of tape decay. This blend of nostalgia and modernity perfectly reflected the duality of his musical journey.
Building something new, from the ground up, the producer blended his innate pop touches to some decidedly left-field ideas. The full results are out on May 26th, while new single ‘Satellite’ has his caramel-soft flair.
Out now, it’s a neat return, an electronic bubbler that remains resolutely rooted in the humane. He comments…
“‘Satellite’ is a love letter to… satellites. To be totally honest I don’t know what a satellite quite does, but the satellite in my head gives power to every electronic and can help find lost items. Perhaps it’s a love letter to technology, but I don’t love technology. Might just be a catchy song!”
