Quality Control signed rapper Lil Marlo has been shot dead, it has been confirmed.
News broke overnight via TMZ, with Lil Marlo seemingly being targeted by gunmen in Atlanta.
Georgia police were called to an incident on Interstate 285 in downtown Atlanta at 2.06am on Sunday (July 12th), with Lil Marlo being pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information has as yet been released by police.
Lil Yachty was among the first to confirm the news on Instagram, explaining that the pair had only just finished work in the studio together.
Atlanta rapper Clay James tweeted: "Waking up seeing Lil Marlo passed away made me appreciate waking up even more. It’s a sad day in Atlanta. Prayers up to his family, friends, and QC. Black lives won't matter to anyone else if they don’t start mattering to US first."
Only 27 years old, Lil Murlo was a key part of the Quality Control stable. He is survived by four children: Kemora, Rihanna, Marlo and Rudy.
