For groups starting out getting your name known has never been more difficult, and a new competition launched by Puma aims to help unsigned bands struggling for recognition.
Taking place at venues across Manchester and Liverpool, the Puma new talent competition aims to uncover a gang of musicians thirsty for success. All genres are covered, with the winning bands being chosen by a judging panel of top industry experts.
The prize includes a year’s consultancy with Ewan Grant, one of Britain’s top music analysts who has over 20 years of experience managing bands such as Feeder and Joss Stone.
The winning groups will learn at the feet of of a hugely successful industry figure, capable of guiding the bands through all areas of their career.
From recording to releasing their single, signing contracts to touring, the winners will receive hands on assistance at a vital point in their career.
The winning groups will also play a very special gig supporting an established act. The winners in Manchester will play second fiddle to Reading group Pete And The Pirates, while Liverpool’s champions will support Kids In Glass Houses.
