Pulp Have Signed To Rough Trade Records

Dare we hope for a new album...?

Pulp have signed to Rough Trade Records.

The band have a long association with the team behind Rough Trade – indeed, they’re managed by the company’s management wing. Now the Sheffield group have confirmed their next step, singing to the illustrious independent.

In a note revealing the news, Pulp wrote:

“Rough Trade have managed Pulp for over 30 years so it feels great to be finally on the label. We did it!”

Confirming the news on social media, fans have naturally begun to wonder what’s next. During recent live shows Pulp have unveiled some fresh songs, with titles like ‘Spike Island’, ‘My Sex’, and ‘A Sunset’.

So, could a new Pulp album be on the cards…? We can but hope.
