props Shares Off Piste Pop Jammer ‘before you let go’

It gets under your skin...

UK alt-pop all-rounder props returns with new single ‘before you let go’.

An artist who can seemingly spring a tune from any instrument, his multi-layered, ultra-colourful take on pop has swept across socials. Citing everyone from Beck to mura masa as an influence, he started as a drummer, believe it or not, before branching out in all directions.

His self-released adventures began in 2020 with debut EP ‘Wired’, and his journey has resulted in a dogged cult following and even a spot on the Made In Chelsea soundtrack.

New single ‘before you let go’ taps into our modern dystopia, a deliriously British piece of post-pandemic pop. Embracing our everyday chaos, it also leans into his personal life, contrasting political mayhem with a break-up.

There’s a cute side to it all, though, with props delivering something witty and tongue in cheek. It’s also just really catchy, if we’re honest.

props says…

“Is it just me or does it feel like the cliff edge is approaching faster every day? ‘before you let go’ is about getting that feeling off your chest and wanting to make the planet a nicer place, but at a time when we’re all programmed to turn on Netflix and zone out completely. I guess it’s appropriate then that you can just interpret these lyrics as a cute, nostalgic break-up song if you like.”

Tune in now.
