Prodigy Confirm New Single

With remixes from Josh Homme

Rave heroes The Prodigy are set to release their new single ‘Take To The Hospital’ on August 31st.

Much imitated, never bettered – nobody does The Prodigy like The Prodigy. Formed in the afterglow of the rave explosion, The Prodigy blended techno, jungle, rock and more to create a scorching new sound.

Harsh and uncompromising, The Prodigy’s music was threatening yet euphoric. Debut album ‘Experience’ led to the seminal ‘Music For The Jilted Generation’ before the band began to splinter.

1997’s ‘Fat Of The Land’ saw The Prodigy take on the United States, before going on hiatus. The band’s three pronged assault was re-united last year for a series of shows, before heading back into the studio.

The resulting album was ‘Invaders Must Die’ a stunning return from one of British music’s true legends. This summer has seen The Prodigy hit the festival season, playing headline slots at RockNess amongst others.

Due to perform at Reading and Leeds, the band are set to mark the closing of the summer season with a new single. ‘Take Me To The Hospital’ was a highlight of the group’s new album, and gains a vital new life on its own.

An exhilarating car crash of a record, the new single comes complete with a number of remixes. Josh Homme works with Liam Howlett to re-tool the track, while Adam F & Horx, Rusko and drum & bass titans Sub Focus all take on the track.

A festival anthem, ‘Take Me To The Hospital’ reeks of a lifetime spent on the wrong side of the law. A riotous call to arms, it demonstrates that while The Prodigy may be a little older, they sure as hell aren’t any wiser.
