Private Joy’s ‘Pure Love’ Is A Dose Of Street Soul

It leads into their new EP...

Manchester artist Private Joy has shared new single ‘Pure Love’.

A producer, vocalist, and songwriter, Private Joy is a key component of the Manchester music scene. A member of Lovescene, their solo work pushes out in different directions, claiming originality as a key virtue.

Real name Pops Roberts, the artist will release new EP ‘Desire’ on August 23rd, commenting:

“Desire has been the drive and beginning of so many decisions, highs and lows in life…”

New song ‘Pure Love’ is out now, a pitch-perfect blend of soulful house and 90s R&B. It’s all wrapped together as a pristine example of street soul, that curiously British genre that retains deep roots in the Manchester club scene.

Fellow Mancunian Meduulla is on the mic for the vinyl verse, amplifying the energy and echoing those timeless Zhané or Mary J Blige R&B cuts.

Tune in now.
