Primary 1 Killed Off

But debut album still on schedule

Primary 1 is set to release his full scale debut ‘Other People’ through Atlantic on March 13th.

Real name Joe Flory, Primary 1 has gradually risen to become an extremely well respected producer. Releasing his own material, the beatsmith is also in demand as a remix artist due to his deft re-workings.

Reaching a new level of prominence, Primary 1 was signed to Atlantic last year. Recording his debut album, it seemed that the producer was set to storm the charts. However Joe Flory has other ideas.

Tiring of the constraints placed on him by Primary 1 the producer ‘killed’ his alter ego off. Whether he was run over by a bus, pecked to death by chickens or polished off by a poisoned kebab… we’re not quite sure.

However the long and the short of it is that Primary 1 is no more. Before the final burial can take place, though, Joe Flory is intent on making sure that the proposed album is given an official release.

Still signed to Atlantic, ‘Other People’ is due to be released on March 13th. The bulk of the new album is produced by Joe Flory himself, with assistance from Paul Epworth (Adele, Friendly Fires).

A big name producer, Paul Epworth assisted Primary 1 bring the project together. After completing the material, the album was handed over to Phillipe Zdar whose credits include Phoenix, Cassius and more.

The finished album will contain the previously released singles ‘The Blues’, ‘Princess’ and ‘Never Know’.

More announcements are expected from Primary 1, as Joe Flory begins to contemplate life under a new moniker.
