Primal Scream Share ‘Deep Dark Waters’

"A warning from history..."

Primal Scream have shared new single ‘Deep Dark Waters’.

The rave rock force are back, completing work on their first studio album since 2016’s ‘Chaosmosis’. The band’s incoming LP ‘Come Ahead’ lands on November 8th, led by cosmic single ‘Love Insurrection’ and its Curtis Mayfield inspired arrangement.

By contrast, ‘Deep Dark Waters’ is a bad trip – injecting themselves into the turbulent psychic currents of 2024, the guitar-driven beast pinpoints our modern paranoia.

A song about dark energies, ‘Deep Dark Waters’ stems from a news cycle dominated by misery, war, and a resurgent Far Right.

Frontman Bobby Gillespie comments:

‘Deep Dark Waters’ is influenced by the writings of Franco ‘Bifo’ Berardi. It contains a warning from history. “Those who do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it.”

Long-time friend and collaborator Douglas Hart steers the video, the warped psychedelic effects tapping into the band’s transgressive core.

Tune in now.
