Primal Scream Ready New Single

Dance Rock Icons Return

Genre smashing indie titans Primal Scream are set to return on July 14th with their new single “Can’t Go Back”, it has been announced.

Primal Scream’s back catalogue reads like a A-Z of popular music, with influences at various times ranging from The Byrds, Gram Parsons, Iggy Pop and Frankie Knuckles. The band have been holed up creating a new sound since the success of “Riot City Blues” in 2006, with the new album apparently set to sound like a poppier version of Alan Vegas’ Suicide.

The new album is entitled “Beautiful Future” and was produced by Bloc Party knob-twiddler Paul Epworth. “Can’t Go Back” is rumoured to be a snarling, ferocious return for the band. The parent album is said to have numerous collaborations including Lovefoxx from C.S.S. and British folk icon Linda Thompson.

Primal Scream will take their incendiary rock ‘n’ dance roadshow on the road this summer, playing a number of festivals including Meltdown, T In The Park and Hop Farm.

“Can’t Go Back” is due to be released on July 14th.
