The ARIA’s were dominated by pop starlet Gabriella Cilmi who won an astonishing six awards. As well as a host of awards for her breakthrough single ‘Sweet About Me’, the singer also beat off competition from none other than Kylie Minogueto scoop ‘Best Female Artist’.
Electro group The Presets were also big winners, going home with three awards. The band won ‘Album Of The Year’ as well as ‘Best Dance Release’ before beating off competition to win ‘Best Group’.
It was a disappointing night for Sam Sparro however. The singer may have dominated the charts but Sparro failed to win any of the five categories he was nominated in.
