New York dance artist Santogold released one of 2007’s defining dancefloor records in the shape of “L.E.S. Artistes”, and is now set to return with the re-issue of her signature track.
“L.E.S. Artistes” received across the board praise on its limited release last year, and will now get a full release on April 21st. Santogold, real name Santi White, is a well known figure in the New York music scene – guesting on super producer Mark Ronson’s “Versions” album.
Santogold cut her dues as a songwriter for hire, working with Lily Allen, amongst other. However, the singer is now set to emerge from the shadows, with her debut album “Santogold” due to be released on May 5th.
“L.E.S. Artistes” will be released on April 21st.
