Legendary American record label Sub Pop has reached the grand old age of 20 and to celebrate two of alternative music’s biggest figures have teamed up to form The Gutter Twins.
Consisting of Greg Dulli (Afghan Whigs) and Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees) the duo boast more classic records between them than perhaps any other men in alternative music. Their much anticipated debut album will be called “Saturnalia” and will be released on March 3rd.
The Gutter Twins will also be playing a London date to support the album, but details have yet to be finalised.
Sub Pop of course came to fame with its grunge era output, but the label currently boasts a roster that includes The Shins, CSS, The Postal Service and Band of Horses. Eclectic eh?
