New York based project Yoke Lore is rooted in the imagination of Adrian Galvin, previously of Yellerkin and Walk the Moon.
A refined, refulgent songwriter, he's honed his craft through a lengthy series of live shows, and those addictive, penetrating EPs.
New single 'Safe And Sound' comes as Yoke Lore prepares to play a series of UK shows, starting in London on June 15th.
It's a gorgeous return, with that sweeping vocal affording Yoke Lore space to explore relationships and the nature of commitment.
Slow-paced but addictive, 'Safe And Sound' has this gentle feeling, one of love and security, but it's also beautifully etched, a probing musical document.
He comments: “I think there are different times throughout history where relationships have meant different things. In the Stone Age, they meant survival. In the Victorian era, they meant politics. And I think part of what they mean in our era is refuge. A bright spot of intimacy in an otherwise intricate web of de-personalisation and the mass casual insincerity among daily interactions. Olly Olly Oxen Free.”
