Woz – real name Ashley Westlake – came of age amongst Bristol's mosaic of soundsystems, parties, producers, and DJs.
Diving into club culture, the producer quickly gained notice, fusing his breaks-laden sound with an impish appetite for The New.
Associations with Black Butter certainly did him no harm, with Woz continually spreading his net as wide as it could go.
Hooking up with Lobster Boy, the producer now returns with his roots on a fiery yet frisky two-tracker.
'Grains' and 'Celsius' find Woz returning to those formative Kerri Chandler cuts, the underground house sound that poured out of New York and New Jersey in the early 90s.
Elements of his passion for drum 'n' bass still shine through, though, on a pair of cuts that are high on energy and fresh-thinking.
