Premiere: We’re Not Gonna Take It – ‘Sweet Power, Your Embrace’

Covering a rare groove classic...

Funny how great songs can transcend genre.

'Sweet Power, Your Embrace' was recorded by soul hero James Mason in the 70s, earning acclaim but now quite skewering the success it deserved.

Dug up by the late 80s rare groove scene, the funky cut taunted dancefloors across the globe before landing in the record collection of multi-national misfits We're Not Gonna Take It.

A politicised troupe, the band refuse to obey boundaries. Seizing 'Sweet Power, Your Embrace' the group's new recording is more akin to Sisters Of Mercy than the Pointer Sisters, a stark, gothic, almost industrial workout on a stone cold groove.
