VOID 'MEDICATE' b/w 'iHurt'
We’re breaking down the barriers of self-isolation…

VOID return with two stunning tracks as their formal debut release via MSC_RPBLC / UMG, imbued with the pure and unadulterated sheer visceral beauty that they are fast becoming renowned for.

The haunting, ethereal 'iHURT' evokes our shared sense of collective outpouring as both a conduit and means for processing grief and anxiety and the antidote.

Instantly striking a chord amidst the dystopian Orwellian reality we face in these uncertain current times.

Equally evocative, 'MEDICATE' offers the listener sweet respite. Like a safe harbour whilst a storm breaks relentlessly onto its walls. Serenely gliding over a faster tempo, the guitar hook and melody will stay with you.

It’s a debut offering both in keeping with the times and existing resolutely outside of them. Current yet timeless grooves that nod towards dance culture while pursuing rhythms that reflect Detroit 1969, not Detroit 1989.

A fusion of rare groove and trip-hop not techno, it’s independent without wishing to be indie, simultaneously iconic and unknowable.

With both tracks recorded, mixed and mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, the latest offering from Jax & Rocco, VOID sees them continue their ascendency in a subtle, but assuredly impactful fashion.

Exquisite in their composition as a double sided release, capturing the sentiment and mood of the times whilst showcasing the musicality of the pair in a truly majestic fashion.

With key tastemakers ears peaked and an expansive songbook developing, alongside the VOIDFeels mental health awareness movement underpinning their raison d’être - this is a project with purpose.

The release presents a rare opportunity to reach those isolated in our communities who need support via a warm and welcoming online community bonding over a shared love of music.

A portal to offload the burdens of society we carry, and a medium to celebrate our universal shared commonalities and aspirations.

With support across specialist networks following Phil Taggart’s BBC Radio1 'Chillest Show In The World' first play last night - the forums are abuzz and campaign momentum is building.

Both songs are available across all good streaming platforms now,  find more from VOID here.
