Premiere: Urple Eeple – ‘Lost In Motion’ (Dakat Remix)

Repping that West Coast sound...

Creating under the moniker Urple Eeple, Peter Farr is known for creating stirring electronic music. His new EP ‘Lost In Motion’ is out this Friday (April 15th) and the title track has been recreated with Dakat on the remix.

Pulsing percussive sounds intertwined with smooth, rich synths make for an atmospheric, euphoric listen on Dakat’s version. The re-imagined track is significantly more relaxed than the original highlighting the diversity in the swirling sounds that wouldn’t be out of place soundtracking those late summer nights.

Influenced musically by the likes of Flying Lotus and Flume, the Californian producer is also a co-founder of Chillage Records, through which the EP will be released.

Speaking about the sonic vision for the EP Farr explains:

“I wanted to bring out a fusion between multiple things that were inspiring me. Flume and 20syl’s recent releases which have been really pushing the boundaries, as well as the synth heavy music being composed by the likes of Com Truise, Bobbytank and Datassette. Many of these influences fused with my own personal style that I put into everything I do and I believe I’ve made an EP that is truly groundbreaking”.
