'Space rock' is an unwieldy, hopelessly open ended term.
So Clash is able to say quite confidently that Two Skies are not, in all honesty, space rock.
But they are close. The band make gargantuan sounds which contain the incredible pressure of blast off, the Earth's gravity pulling you back as your body lurches forward at impossible speeds.
Fronted by Dan Cutts – previously a member of Lyca Sleep – the group recall the outer fringes of Hawkwind, or even the amphetamine side of Spacemen 3's oeuvre.
New EP 'Red' is set to be released on March 24th, but ahead of this Clash can unveil a preview cut. '(In Flight) Hyperventilation' is sheer guitar driven paranoia, with Two Skies pushing each and every needle far into the red.
