Premiere: Turn To Crime – ‘Actions’

Deeply independent Detroit group return...

Detroit is a law unto itself.

Yet even amidst this deeply independent music scene, Turn To Crime stand alone. Led by Derek Stanton, the project – augmented by Ian Saylor and Dorian Foerg – unite DIY ethics with groundbreaking aesthetics.

Last year's debut LP 'Can't Love' was an intriguing introduction, having the same laissez faire attitude which filtered through The Replacements yet with a deeply modern twist.

New album 'Actions' arrives on April 27th, the next stage in an imaginative evolution. Clash is able to premiere the title track, and it's bittersweet joy is something to behold.

Buoyed by a lilting keyboard line, the chugging guitars are reminiscent of Guided By Voices while the downcast vocals have an Anglophile quality.
