The Strypes are evolving.
The Irish group were initially a rhythm 'n' blues combo, all skinny ties, sharp suits and spiky, punk-driven ambition.
Near continual touring, though, has exposed the band to fresh ideas. The Strypes hopped back into the studio recently, and began expanding their palette.
Don't go expecting them to re-invent the wheel, though; this is gradual process, absorbing new sounds into their defined identity.
New album 'Little Victories' will be released on July 24th, but ahead of this Clash is able to premiere the video for 'Eighty-Four'.
Dynamic, attitude-laden songwriting with that blues appeal still intact, you can check it out below.
