Dresden is a city almost synonymous with darkness.
Controversially the victim of a fire-bombing campaign during the Second World War, the area was razed almost entirely to the ground.
On tour earlier this year, Manchester newcomers The Slow Show stopped off in the German city. Enraptured, they were inspired to craft their new single.
Re-telling "dark, dark tales from the Dresden dens" it's an epic tale, one driven by piano and no little sense of ambition.
