An ever-evolving universe, The Notwist recently broke their silence with the release of new album ‘Close To The Glass’.
The band’s debut on new home Sub Pop, the material was – according to singer Markus Acher – deeply influenced by instrumental work. Alongside the main narrative, the band have also been indulging in numerous special commissions for radio and theatre.
Gathered on new compilation ‘Alien Transistor’, this is a curious look at an oft-neglected part of the band’s identity.
Out on February 6th, Clash is able to premiere ‘Object 06’. A gorgeous yet minute nugget, the ornate instrumentation is matched against gently repeating melodic phrases.
