Bold off kilter guitar pop from the Norwegian group...

Norway's The Modern Times make addictive guitar pop songs hewn from an alternative dimension.

The band's debut album sparked word of mouth hype, and the follow up - 'Algorhythmic Dance Music' - is set to land on August 30th.

Arriving via sought after label Black Pop Records, the record fuses choppy Gang Of Four riffs with some surreal, off piste Parquet Courts style songwriting.

New cut 'Am I Losing Touch' leads the way, a bold, vivid return, full of taut guitar lines, sharp about-turns, and neat angular songwriting.

Drummer Isak Harbit explains: "'Am I Losing Touch' explains the struggle of the transition to adulthood and trying to keep up with the youth but feeling too old and 'out of date'."

Very much a DIY phenomenon, the ultra-cool video for 'Am I Losing Touch' was designed by members of the band.

Isak continues: "We make all our videos ourselves. "Am I Losing Touch" is drawn by Magnus (vocals) and animated by Terje (bass guitar). Because we used one hour per second of animation, we got drunk, lost touch and ended up at a space party. Enjoy!"

Tune in now.
