Premiere: The High Highs – ‘Boxing’

Brooklyn group mark their dreamy return...

The High Highs take inspiration wherever they can find it.

The Brooklyn group were touring their debut album when they turned a corner in the Cascade Mountains.

Overwhelmed by the scenery, the memory helped form the fulcrum of their new album – appropriately titled 'Cascade'.

The band's Oli Chang explains: "The first album was intimate. We were piecing together ideas in a small space with guitar and voice. With this record, we wanted to make songs that were fuller, that would fill a bigger room."

Out on February 5th, 'Cascades' is certainly bigger. Each chorus feels expertly defined, the rise and fall of the vocal melodies taking The High Highs on longer, more daring journeys.

Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Boxing' and it's a dreamy return. All airy production and high, keening harmonies, you can dive in below.
