Spiky, impassioned songwriting, with a Kerouac lilt...
The Crookes

The Crookes took off from the North of England almost 18 months ago, and it's been a non-stop whirlwind ever since.

Travelling across the UK and beyond, the band were able to fulfil a dream by journeying across the United States.

A slew of fresh songs is the result, including the Kerouac-referencing 'Roman Candle'.

“Most of the ideas were collected when we were away living out adventures and just having the most fun we’ve ever had,” says Daniel Hopewell. “When I listen back I can almost sense those feelings of frenzy and breathlessness and excitement from those strange nights in stranger still cities.”

Airing first on Clash, it's an inspiring, biting indie vision, displaying The Crookes' rapidly maturing songwriting ability.
