Premiere: The Altered Hours – ‘Way Of Sorrow’

Feral and utterly engaging Irish newcomers...

The Altered Hours have a certain darkness to their sound.

It's there in those brittle tones, the post-punk influenced chugging bass line, and it's there in those pleading, sometimes desperate vocals.

But that isn't to suggest that the Irish act are doom-laden naysayers – rather, The Altered Hours continually transgress the intensity of their volition, focussing on shards of pure, white light amidst the black.

Recently releasing an EP on Anton Newcombe's sought-after A Recordings imprint, the group aim to release a new album in early 2016.

Ahead of this, Clash is able to share new track 'Way Of Sorrow'. Darkly enticing, the track has a hard-as-granite, three dimensional feel, matching brutal sonics to an imposing vocal.
