Tellef Raabe is a rising songwriter based in Bergen, one of Scandinavia's creative hubs.
With his cool, calm delivery and moving songwriting, the artist recalls aspects of The National, or perhaps even mid-period Interpol.
Alongside this, though, are speckles of electronics, and the odd folk influences. A difficult tale to pin down, Tellef Raabe recently completed new cut 'Flying On The Ground'.
Airing first on Clash, it's an oddly inspiring, anthemic cut, one that nods towards the darker depths of his songwriting but prefers to dwell in the light.
Tellef explains: "It's probably the most optimistic song I've ever written. It's about the exciting rush of falling in love. The excitement alone is enough".
Check it out now.
'Flying On The Ground' will be released on January 29th.
