Sumie needed to take a step back after her debut album.
A work of a highly personal nature, she decided to turn inwards, after having share so much with the outside world.
She revealed recently: “I would go to the library and find books about art, birds, history and poetry, and go to the cinema as much as I could. A safe way of escapism…”
Pouring over books and embracing new knowledge, this in turn helped Sumie push her art in a fresh direction.
New album 'Lost In Light' arrives on November 10th, and it's a confident, tender return from a highly talented songwriter.
