It's a startling, visceral return...

Strange Bones grew up on a diet of punk rock.

Hinging on the Bentham brothers - Bobby (vocals), Jack (guitars) and Will (bass) - their parents were amongst the first to record and sell punk shows on VHS, meaning that they had a virtual library at their disposal.

With the addition of life-long friend Stuart Newburn on drums, the Blackpool outfit set about channelling those formative experiences soaking up incendiary shows from Black Flag, Hawkwind, Discharge, and more.

The long, strange journey of Strange Bones started at that moment, and it takes another twist on incendiary new single 'Vicious'.

Frontman Bobby Bentham describes the single as "a reaction to the illusion of control, in a hyper-normal world" and it's a distorted, sonic blitz.

"'Vicious' is a brutal showcase of what the band is capable of," he continues. "The song is a demonstration of our vast influences and marks a turning point in the band’s evolution."

"Strange Bones was never meant to be a punk band or a rock band, the idea was to constantly evolve, with an underlying sonic signature. Bringing in elements of different genres is something we have always done, more subtly up until now. The song takes no prisoners, and reveals Strange Bones to the world as genre shape shifters".

A bold return, 'Vicious' comes complete with a distorted, visually entrancing video, one that recalls those formative years watching eye-bleeding VHS footage of punk shows.
