When punk met folk...
Stick In The Wheel

The folk scene is often viewed as being somewhat polite, with the emphasis being on the retention of tradition rather than the fostering of innovation.

In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Stick In The Wheel are a case in point, a band whose spirited take on the traditional songbook is deliver with guts, glee and irreverence.

Using their instruments as a means to smash against modern society, the group have already earned acclaim from Stewart Lee and comic book auteur Alan Moore.

Debut album 'From Here' arrives on September 25th, but ahead of this Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Who Knows'. Terrifically abrasive, it finds Stick In The Wheel matching folk instrumentation with punk's confrontational nature.

Check it out below, alongside previously released cut 'Common Ground'. Check it out now.
