Premiere: Steeple Remove – ‘Oval-Strii’

Cult French band sign to Fuzz Club for new material...

The story of Steeple Remove began almost 20 years ago.

Releasing their debut album in 1998, the band's fusion of skeletal post-punk and shoegaze driven noise rock essentially presaged the bulk of Noughties indie rock by a good decade or so.

Still firing on all cylinders, Steeple Remove have hooked up with Fuzz Club for new album ‘Vonal-Axis’, the fifth in their storied career.

You can pre-order the record HERE and it's said to be one of their most confrontation, creative, and spirited documents yet.

From kosmische-driven psychedelia to paranoid, dub-inflected post-punk, Steeple Remove continue to break down expectations, and shatter barriers.

'Oval-Strii' is a careering piece of music, one that takes a left turn and drives straight off the road, heading for the grey areas of the map.

Droning fuzzed out shoegaze with shades of My Bloody Valentine, 'Oval-Strii' has a churning, distorted sense of beauty.
