Glasgow may well be Scotland's biggest city, but it can often seem as though – from a musical perspective – everybody knows one another.
Spinning Coin are four musicians from the city's bustling DIY underground, four independent voices setting aside their differences for something new.
Playing a series of truculent, visceral shows around Glasgow and beyond, Spinning Coin have also been busy laying down material as and when they see fit.
Piecing together a new EP, the band have teamed up with ever on-point DIY label Fuzzkill Records for the release. Out digitally and on limited cassette from October 12th, the self-titled EP has an endearing acerbic yet ramshackle feel.
The dual voices of Jack Mellin and Sean Armstrong power the group forward, their idiosyncrasies bouncing off one another in a series of surreal yet highly engaging vignettes.
