Premiere: SOULS – ‘Bad Girl’ (Poté Remix)

Glistening, uplifting re-work, laced with a unique sense of feeling...

SOULS is a voice out of time.

The producer – real name David Gledhill – utilises old field recordings, grabbing vocal samples from obscure points in time.

New cut 'Bad Girl' utilises the voice of Ozella Jones, an otherwise obscure blues singer who was recorded back in 1936.

Extracted from this rare recordings, SOULS then places the vocal segment in a feast of electronics, fusing the old with the new.

Currently working on his debut album, SOULS has handed 'Bad Girl' over to someone he trusts for a fresh remix.

St. Lucia born, London based talent Poté has infused the original with pointed electronics, lacing the track with renewed digital colour.

It's a warm, lucid re-work, one you can check out below.
