Shan Vincent de Paul was born in Sri Lanka, but fled the country as a child due to the civil war.
Part of a global diaspora from the country, the artist's family found their way to Toronto, where he quickly fell in with the city's creative scene.
Currently one quarter of the Sideways Crew, Shan Vincent de Paul takes his cue from hip-hop, electronics, R&B, and so much more.
New solo cut 'Fight For Us' is both reflective and completely forward-facing, the bombastic production set against a direct vocal from Shan.
Produced by La+ch, the cut also features Coleman Hell, and features on Shan's debut album 'Saviors'.
'Saviors' drops on April 15th, but you can check out 'Fight For Us' first on Clash.
