Shaefri seems to gain in confidence with each passing note.
The London-based electronic artist combines an intensity of sound with a tenderness of touch, something that excels on new EP 'Cracks'.
Forthcoming, Clash is able to tease the release with new cut 'Monster' – a crystalline piece of synth pop that comes from a deeply personal place.
Speaking on the song Shaefri explains: "I wrote 'Monster' at a time when I was in a bit of a dark place, and I found it to be a useful way of helping me accept that I had this ‘creature’ within me, that likes to self-destruct, but to try to resist it whilst learning to live alongside it – we all have our demons, but they help to make us who we are."
Tune in now.
Catch Shaefri at Notting Hill Arts Club on April 6th.
